Clinique CC Cream Review

Whats the CC stand for? Colour Correction! Some thing I really do need! When I lived over in gibraltar, I pretty much spent most days out in the sun, with no sun protection on!! a Big no no! I now suffer with a lot of dark pigmentation, especially around the eye area.  It has improved slightly after forking out a few £££ on a series of chemical peels but its still not perfect. On top of that I have suffered really bad acne on and off since I was a teen.  I kind of hoped we all grow out of the teenage acne by the time we hit our 20’s but I hit my 30’s and was still suffering,

To cut a long story short, I was finally prescribed Roaccutane (Isotretinoin). It was not the most pleasant experience but the results are amazing and well worth the side effects (I will blog more about this later). But now I dont have acne, I just have a very uneven complexion, some scaring and dark pigmentation.

Most foundations cover to a degree but, you can still see areas of different colours peeking through.  So Clinique have created this new hydrating colour correcting cream! I just had to try it out for myself. How does it work? On the packet it says “Tiny Lavender beads work wonders with light, turning any yellow into a peachy glow, brightening what’s dull or ashy, & banishing red.

So did it work? Heres a pic of me, before and after applying Clinique CC cream, both pictures were taken a few minutes apart sat in the same light at my desk, the difference actually shocked myself. It does not cover the blemishes so I would still need to add some concealer and foundation, but the overall colour of my skin it amazingly more even and so much brighter!

Before and After with Clinique CC Cream

It has given me such a lovely base to carry on and apply my normal make-up to. It does say it offers a lightweight feel, however I do not entirely agree with that statement, I did find it quite heavy on my face. But as I previously said, my skin has been so dry with the Roaccutane, that most creams feel quite heavy for me. I do love that it contains SPF 30 though, its very important to protect your skin from the skin, if only I had listened to my own advice huh?

Would I buy it again? YES definitely! Especially in the winter months when my skin is looking tired and dull, it gives such a bright appearance.

Disclosure: I was provided with Clinique CC Cream for the purpose of the review, all opinions are my own.

Hey there just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know a
few of the pictures aren’t loading properly. I’m
not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different web browsers and both show the same outcome.
